Dr. Mirjana Stankovic has rich research experience in leading complex legal and regulatory projects in data protection/privacy/sharing and governance, intellectual property and technology law, regulatory impact assessment of emerging technologies (AI, Blockchain, IoT, Virtual/Augmented Reality, and 3D Printing), and technology transfer.

She has also served as a senior regulatory advisor for major international organizations such as the International Telecommunication Union, World Bank (IBRD), WIPO, International Finance Corporation, UNIDO, UNICRI, Inter-American Development Bank, the African Development Bank, and the European Commission.

She is a highly sought-after speaker at various international fora on some of the most complex challenges in innovation, especially in regulation of emerging tech. Dr. Stankovic is also experienced in working with tech start-ups on regulatory compliance in complex areas such as biotechnology, AI, Blockchain, 3D printing etc.

She has also worked as a copyright counsel, representing the interests of the Macedonian music industry.

Her country experience spans across continents; she is based in the USA, and has worked in Ukraine, Nepal, Malaysia, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Seychelles, Uganda, North Macedonia, Croatia, Bulgaria.
